ASR miniGP motorcycle history:
GP-50A, GP-50 and GP-70 MiniGP motorcycles are manufactured by ASR (A. Sieber Racing), an independent manufacturer located in Europe.
Production started in 2002. The first success came in 2004 when the bikes took the British championship. And also first place in 2005 and 2006 Czech Mini Road Racing championships.
Since 2005 there was a new cup set up in England just for these motorcycles.
What makes these Minis to stand out…
?
-
ASR MiniGP bikes excel in their light weight, about half what Aprilia RS50 or Derbi GPR50 weigh.
-
Solid aluminum alloy frames similar to TZ125 or RS125 chassis combined with Bitubo rear suspension units, front telescopic forks, light wheels and powerful brakes give the bikes excellent handling capabilities.
-
Two stroke water cooled single cylinder engines fitted with Polini or Athena kits (GP-50 & GP-70 only) and optional specialty race components complete all into a nice mini road racing package.
